CPR and AED

Get the best CPR and AED training in one simple program.
Our CPR and AED program teaches the principles of basic life support for adults, children, and infants. It gives you the latest guidelines for CPR and emergency cardiac care, starting with how to assess the scene of an emergency and take stock of the victim's condition. The course details how to perform one-rescuer CPR and rescue breathing, and how to manage choking in a conscious person. It also addresses infection control.

The AED portion of the program details key operating characteristics and shows you proper precautions and maintenance techniques. It explains how AEDs work and why they're a critical part of emergency cardiac care. It also includes guidelines for meeting the state Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) laws, and outlines the need for medical direction.

It's for:
Emergency response teams, safety personnel, supervisors, fire, police ambulance, health care providers, athletics trainers, airline employees, life guards.

Emergency Oxygen Administration

Serious and life-threatening Medical Emergencies often cause Oxygen to become depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for Cardiac Arrest or brain injury. Supplemental oxygen is a critical step in treating a severe or life-threatening injury or illness. This program focuses on administering Emergency Oxygen, Rescue Breathing and Emergency Oxygen devices. Oxygen delivery devices and victim scenarios are part of this practical training program.

Students will receive Nationally recognized completion cards after successfully completing objectives of this program


Childcare and Babysitting Safety

The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Program is a community education program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children.

Both video and student handbook provide fundamental information for home childcare workers or babysitters. CABS topic includes child safety, first aid procedures, play, feeding and Emergencies.

Nationally Recognized student completion cards are issued upon successful program fulfillment.


Wilderness Emergency Care (WEC)

The Wilderness Emergency Care (WEC) Program supports a family of courses to meet the needs of everyone with outdoor interests, from easy day trips to challenging and technical activities, including wilderness rescue. All of the courses provide hands-on practical training, to prepare you for wilderness emergencies.

Like other ASHI courses, they are also designed to give you a lively and enjoyable learning experience.

* Basic Wilderness First Aid – is an intensive 8-10 hour course for those who do wilderness recreation. It may also meet the need for volunteers and professionals who lead groups on short trips in relativity low-risk situations, where they are not far from help. Nationally Recognized student completion cards are issued upon successful program fulfillment.
* Wilderness First Aid – is a 16-20 hour course for those who do more serious wilderness activities. It is the choice of many wilderness trip leaders and guides. WFA presents wilderness topics in more detail, provides more time for skills practice, and also includes role0playing wilderness accident scenarios. Nationally Recognized student completion cards are issued upon successful program fulfillment.
* Wilderness First Responder – is a 60-80 hour course for wilderness professionals and others who want a higher level of training, or require WFR certification. The course length may vary depending on whether the class has previous training, or does enough reading and preparation to reduce the need for extended lecture series. Skills training is intensive, with many role-playing wilderness accident scenarios. Nationally Recognized student completion cards are issued upon successful program fulfillment.
* Wilderness EMT Upgrade – is a 40 hour course for those already Certified as Emergency Medical Technician’s (EMT”S). The course builds on EMT training and adds wilderness concepts and skills, with many role-playing scenarios. Students are expected to minimize the need for lecture by studying and preparing thoroughly for each class. WEMT Upgrade may also be taught as an add-on module to a regular EMT course. Review and Challenge courses for WFA and WFR may be offered for students seeking Rectification. Nationally Recognized student completion cards are issued upon successful program fulfillment.

An EMT skills Pre-test is required of all student to National Registry Standards.

WFA, WFR and WEMT are available to any Host organization Nation wide.


Basic First Aid

Course content:

* Identifying and caring for bleeding, sudden illnesses, and injuries
* Preventing disease transmission
